The Rat Pics
Yes, I take pictures of my rats.  I'm not a weirdo - I've seen some of you take photos of your dogs and cats, in clothes nonetheless.  People in glass houses....
This is Max.  He was from a petstore, and proved his intelligence over and over again.  If you don't believe me,
this story of his was selected for a "Smart Pet" contest.  He was a genius!  Sadly, Max was euthanized on August 23, 2002.

This is Tucker, who lives with Max.  Tucker is also a petstore rat, and he's 18 months old.  He's not as smart as Max, but is incredibly loving, and his favorite past time is to drink our beer and clean our fingers.
Here's Sam.  He was a perfect example of what bad breeding can do to a rat.  From a petstore where a "breeder" dropped him and siblings off.  He was skittish, not trusting, and had to be neutered for aggression.  He wasn't  a bad rat, but it took a lot of time and money to get him to be a pet.  Sam was euthanized on January 31, 2003.
This is DCR O'Reilly, and he came to me from Robin at Deer Creek Rattery.  Reilly lives with Joey, and is 8 months old.  He likes to lick, and will sit on shoulders for a long time.  A very sweet and loving boy
Here is Reilly (right) with DCR Cedric (known as Joey, left).  Joey is 4 months old, and a dumbo, meaning his ears sit lower on his head than the other rats.  He's full of energy, and a very curious and adventurous boy.  His nickname is Joey Bad Rat for his ability to get into trouble so easily!
This is the latest addition to our colony - DCR Nick.  He's a very cute, curious boy, and a great addition to the family!
